Pink Lakes

It is possible for a pink lake to appear, but one of the most commonly known ones is on Middle Island.

What causes the pink lake is something you would never expect,

ALGAE

The algae produces little green micro-algae. The lakes are also salt water which allows the micro algae to live in it. When the amount of salt goes higher than the amount of salt in the ocean, The algae starts reproducing quicker. When temperature goes up, the algae starts to get the red-ish colour.
